If I had to map myself, I’d start with the kind of film that lingers and not the blockbuster kind, but the grainy ones. Unscored and off-centered. More like a feeling you remember than a plot you follow. The kind you find on someone else’s hard drive. Kids. Sade album covers. Bell Hooks in a leather blazer. Those scenes taught me more than school did.

Fashion came later, mostly as a boundary. I don’t talk much, until I do. I’d rather let structure speak for me. Black. White. Clean lines. No performance. If I’m in a room, I’d rather be the pause than the headline. An exclamation mark, maybe. Only if you notice.

I grew up surrounded by art, but I paid closer attention to the margins. The negative space in advertising. The silence between edits. The odd tension in a frame that holds a little too long. I learned how to build meaning through rhythm, contrast, and pacing. Stillness is underrated.

Now that I work digitally, the aim is the same. I want to make things that hold. Not in the algorithmic sense, but in the cinematic one. Work that assumes the viewer is smart. I don’t care if it’s viral. I care if it interrupts your scroll and stays in your mind five hours later. What’s being said? and what are you filling in?

Not sure? Then I’ve done my job.
